2  ounces Lt. Blue or colors of your choice
Plastic crochet hook size F
1 yd. ¼ inch Ribbon

SOLES: Work same as Soles of Loop Stitch Booties Pattern having 72 sc in last row. UPPER SECTION: Fold sole in half lengthwise, mark center of heel. Attach Lt. Blue at center, 1 sc, 1 dc in same space, * skip next sc, 1 sc, 1 dc in next sc, repeat from * 15 times, skip 1 sc, * 1 sc, 1 dc in next sc, repeat from * 4 times, * skip next sc, 1 sc, 1 dc in next sc, repeat from * 15 times, join in 1st sc, ch 1, turn. 2nd ROW: 1 sc in each st, join, drop Lt. Blue, attach White, ch 1, turn. 3rd ROW: 1 sc, 1 dc in same space, * skip next sc, 1 sc, 1 dc in next sc, repeat from * all around, join in 1st sc, ch 1, turn. 4th ROW: 1 sc in each st, join, drop White. Repeat the 3rd and 4th rows once, drop Lt. Blue, pick up White, ch 1, turn. 7th ROW: Repeat 3rd row. 8th ROW: 1 sc in each of the 1st 27 sts, * decrease in next 2 sts (to decrease: insert hook in st, pull loop through, insert hook in next st, pull loop through, yarn over and work off all loops at one time) repeat from * 10 times, 1 sc in each of the next 27 sts, drop White, pick up Lt. Blue, join, ch 1, turn. 9th ROW: 1 sc, 1 dc in next sc, directly over the sc of previous row, * skip next sc, 1 sc, 1 dc in next st, repeat from * 15 times, 1 sc, 1 dc in next st, * skip next st, 1 sc, 1 dc in next st, repeat from * 14 times, join, ch 1, turn. 10th ROW: 1 sc in each st, join, cut yarn. INSERT: With Lt. Blue ch 7, sc in 2nd st from hook, 1 sc in each of the next 4 sts, 3 sc in next st, working on opposite side of ch, 1 sc in each of the next 5 sts, ch 1, turn. 2nd ROW: 2 sc in 1st sc, 1 sc in each of the next 4 sc, 2 sc in each of the next 3 sc, 1 sc in each of the next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc, ch 1, turn. 3rd ROW: Working in sc work 2 sc in 1st and last sc, ch 1, turn. 4th ROW: 2 sc in 1st sc, 1 sc in each of the next 8 sc, 2 sc in each of the next 2 sc, 1 sc in each of the next 8 sc, 3 sc in next sc, 1 sc in end of each of the next 5 rows, join in 1st sc, cut yarn leaving a length for sewing. Sew this section to last row of slipper at instep leaving 8 sts of this section free and 20 sc free on each side of slipper (48 free sc).

BEADING: Attach Lt. Blue at joining at back of slipper, ch 4, skip next sc, dc in next sc, * ch 1, skip next sc, dc in next sc, repeat from * all around, ch 1, join, cut yarn, do not turn.

EDGE: Attach White in same space, then work 1 sc, ch 3, 1 sc in each mesh, join, cut yarn. Starting at heel lace narrow ribbon through beading, tie with a bow.

POMPON: Wind Lt. Blue and White together over a 4 inch cardboard 50 times, remove from card­board, tie in center, cut both ends. Trim and sew to slipper as illustrated. Work another slipper in same manner.
