DIRECTIONS FOR THUMB
Directions are given for "STAR" Cotton Yarn and "STAR" Rug Yarn. "AUNT LYDIA" Heavy Rug Yarn is given in parenthesis.
Work 16 (12) s c around thumb opening and without joining rows work 6 (3) more rows even.
Next Row. Decrease 4 (3) sts evenly spaced, then work 2 (1) rows even. Decrease every other st until 5 (3) sts remain, break yarn leaving an end. Thread into needle and draw together, fasten firmly.
