2nd Row. 2 s c in each s c.
3rd Row. Working in s c, increase in every other st.
4th Row. Increase in every 3rd st.
5th Row. Increase in every 4th s c (30 s c) ch 1, turn.

18th Row. 2 s c in next s c, 1 s c in each of the next 3 s c, ch 9, skip 9 s c (thumb opening), 1 s c in each of the next 11 s c, with Red 1 s c in next s c, 2 s c in next s c, ch 1, turn.
19th Row. S c in next s c, break Red, with White 1 s c in each s c and 1 s c in each st of ch, ch 1, turn and complete back same as front section.
THUMB: With White follow directions given for thumb on pattern page.
FOOT: With Yellow ch 10, s c in 2nd st from hook, 1 s c in next st of ch, ch 3, s c in 2nd st from hook, 2 s c in next st of ch, 1 s c in each of the next 7 sts of ch, ch 1, turn.
2nd Row. Sl st in each of the next 3 s c, 1 s c in each of the next 4 s c, sl st in each of the next 3 sts, break thread. Work another section in same manner. Sew sections together and sew to duck as illustrated. Sew beak in position on front and back sections. With Black "STAR" Six Strand Embroidery Cotton using 12 strands, embroider eye and lines as illustrated. Sew back and front sections together leaving 14 rows of breast free for opening.
With White cover a bone ring with s c and attach to back of holder about 1 inch down from top.
