Group consists of 4 parts (2 flowers, 1 rose, and the main stem with bud and leaves).

Flowers (Make 2) … Starting at base of stem, ch 35, s c in 20th ch from hook (this ring is center of flower). Working over cord (or 4 strands of same thread), s c in next 14 ch, 5 s c in next ch; working along opposite side, make s c in each ch. Now make 5 s c in ring, turn; working over cord only, make 40 s c, turn; s c in 10th s c from ring, s c in next 9 s c, 2 s c in ring, ** turn, skip 2 s c on ring, s c in next 10 s c, 15 s c over cord only, ch 3, let cord hang, turn; skip 5 s c, d c in next s c, * ch 1, skip 1 s c, d c in next s c (a sp). Repeat from * 6 more times, ch 3, s c in ring, ch 3, turn; d c in d c, sp over each of next 7 sps, ch 3, s c in last s c over cord, turn; working over cord, make 4 s c in 1st sp, s c in each d c and in each sp to within last sp, 5 s c in last sp, 2 s c in ring (a wide petal), turn; skip 2 s c on ring, s c in next 10 s c, make 30 s c over cord only, turn; s c in 10th s c from ring, s c in next 9 s c, 2 s c in ring (a narrow petal). Repeat from ** 2 more times, 5 s c in ring. Join to 1st s c of stem. Fasten off.

Rose … Starting at base of stem, ch 35, s c in 20th ch from hook (this forms center). Working over cord, s c in each ch, 5 s c in last ch; s c in each ch along opposite side, * turn, 21 s c over cord only, turn, s c in each s c across, 2 s c in ring (1 petal). Repeat from * 5 more times, joining last s c on 1st row of each petal to 7th s c (from ring) of preceding petal. Sew 7th s c of last petal to 7th s c of stem. Sew flower and rose to main stem at base of side stem.

Main Stem, Bud and Leaf … Starting at base of stem, ch 60, s c in 10th ch from hook; working over cord, make s c in each ch, 5 s c in last ch; s c in each ch along opposite side, s c in ring, turn. Make a leaf as for wide petals of flower, turn; skip 2 s c on ring, s c in next 5 s c, 25 s c over cord only, turn; s c in each s c to within last 5 s c, turn; over cord make s c in each s c across, 25 s c over cord only, sl st at turning point to left of work, turn; s c in each s c across, turn; s c to within last 20 s c, turn; s c in each s c across, s c in next turning point, s c in following turning point, s c in next 5 s c, 2 s c in ring (a bud); s c in next 5 s c, 20 s c over cord only, and complete a leaf as before; 3 s c in ring. Join to 1st s c of stem. Bend main stem and sew parts together as in illustration.
