Repeat from * to *. Continue to base of Tail, (ch 1, sl st in next second st) 5 times, (ch 3, sl st in next 2 sts) repeated across to Head. Fasten off. This leaves the bottom edge open between base of Head and Tail, to fit over teapot handle.
HOT PAN HOLDER: Make the same way, except sew Heads tog only across top. Work edge from base of Head, across bottom edge and around end of Tail to top corner, then join across top. This leaves the bottom edge open from nose around tail to top corner.
