Repeat from * around, joining last ch-5 with sl st in 1st sc. 3rd rnd: Sl st to center of ch-5 loop, ch 1, sc in same loop, * ch 3, sc in next loop. Repeat from * around. Join. 4th rnd: Sl st in ch-3 sp, ch 4, holding back on hook the last loop of each tr make 2 tr in same sp, thread over and draw through all loops on hook (a 2-tr cluster made), * ch 3, 3-tr cluster in next sp. Repeat from * around. Join with sl st in top of 1st cluster. 5th rnd: Sl st in sp, ch 4, * in next sp make tr, ch 5, sl st in 3rd ch from hook, ch 2 and tr. Repeat from * around, ending with tr in same place as starting ch-4, ch 5, sl st in 3rd ch from hook, ch 2. Join with sl st in 4th st of starting chain. Break off.
SECOND MOTIF … Work same as First Motif until 4th rnd is complete. 5th rnd: Sl st in sp, ch 4, (tr in next sp, ch 4, sl st in next p on First Motif, ch 1, sl st in 3rd st of last ch-4, ch 2, tr in same sp on Second Motif) twice; complete rnd with no more joinings. Break off.

FILL-IN-LACE … Attach thread to a p between motifs, ch 1, sc in same place where thread was attached, (ch 3, sc in next p) 5 times; ch 3, join with sl st in 1st sc. Break off. Fill in all sps between motifs in same way.
